“The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.”
Psalms 89:11
The Coming Global Destruction
By Pastor J.D. Link, November 2019
Psalms 89:11 – “The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.” The Leftist, Progressive Socialists are ramping up their “climate change” hysteria yet again; with their Green New Deal and claims of global destruction in twelve years, if we don’t “do something”. Though countless predictions by these global warming doomsday hysterics have come and gone for decades; they remain undeterred in the promotion of the climate change farce. Yes, it is a farce – a fraud; sham; absurdity and nonsensical lie.
In Romans 1:19-22, we find that those who deny God the Creator become vain in their imaginations; their foolish hearts become darkened; and (though they be fools) they profess themselves to be wise. Read the rest of the chapter, for it all goes downhill from there. They are willfully ignorant (2Peter 3:5).
God made this earth (Gen 1:1) and it is His (Ps 24:1, 50:12, Ex 9:29, 19:5, Dt 10:14, Job 41:11). This earth will remain as long as He wants it to remain; and as long as it does remain, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease (Gen 8:22).
At God’s appointed time – and not before then – He is going to “fold up this earth like a garment” (Heb 1:10-12) and put it away. He is going to set this earth on fire and consume everything in it (2Pt 3:10). This is when global destruction will occur and there is not a single thing any individual, nation, or the U.N. can do to prevent it. Like the flood of Noah, it’s going to happen. All one can do to prepare for it is get right with Jesus.
Of course, if one’s faith is in climate change “science” and not in God, then they will reject the Biblical version of “global warming”. However, I would encourage them to ask, “What exact ‘science’ do I have faith in?” For instance, we often hear, “90+ % of scientists believe in climate change” – but what does that mean? Does it mean 90+ % of scientists believe a global, catastrophic event is a few years away unless we all stop driving cars running our A/C? Not even close. The statistics are biased and skewed at best. It is merely theory and speculation – a million miles from any factual evidence.
Though I would be called a “climate change denier” (which I’m fine with), this does not mean I don’t believe the climate changes. It always has. So what? What I deny is that my gas-burning truck, grill, generator, stove – or having my A/C on 74 – is doing ANYTHING to impact the climate. I deny if all of us stopped using these things today, it would make an ounce of difference. If the government wants to get onto anyone, they should start with themselves. If anyone is causing “climate change”, it’s them and their idiotic attempts to block out the sun by spraying the atmosphere with heavy metal poison. Oh, you don’t believe in “chemtrails”? Time to learn.

“Climate change”, as promoted by the Left, is nothing more than a hysterical, junk science, ideological, manufactured crisis intended to rob individuals of personal freedom; control their lives through force and swell the government to epic proportions.
Being concerned about the climate is like being concerned about the sun rising – it is a waste of time. What could we do about the sun not rising? About as much as we can do about the climate. I believe Jesus Christ. I believe the Bible. I believe God not only made this planet (Heb 11:3) – but preserves it, as well (Neh 9:6, Heb 1:3). I believe it will endure just fine – like it has since its creation – right up to the day He destroys it and makes a new one. If God said He’s going to destroy it – that means man can’t and won’t.
I would encourage us to spit out the Kool-Aid and get off the bogus bandwagon of climate change hysteria. The disciples of Christ have a real cause and real mandate – and it isn’t to save “mother earth”. It’s to love, worship, honor and obey Father God and Jesus Christ.
