From the pastor down the road…

“Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown,
so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.”
Philippians 4:1
Stand firmly in The Lord. Stand firmly on His Word. Don’t be moved off Jesus- The Truth, Way & Life. Though Satan come to us with “Hath God said?” – we will, like our Lord Jesus say, “It is written!”

Hath God said, that He forms us in the womb and knows us from the womb (Ps 139:13-17, Jer 1:5)? That children are a blessing (Ps 127:3-5)? That He hates the hands that shed innocent blood (Prv 6:16-17)? That sacrificing children is an abomination (Dt 12:31)?

Hath God said, that we have the right and duty to arm ourselves and defend ourselves (Lk 22:36, Neh 4:13-14, 1Tim 5:8)?

Hath God said, that there are two genders (Gen 1:27, Mt 19:4, Mk 10:6)? That it is an abomination for a man to dress as a woman, and vice versa (Dt 22:5)? That LGBT is sin (Lev 18:22, 20:13, Rom 1:26-27, Jude 1:7)? That adultery is forbidden (Ex 20:14, Gal 5:19-21)?

Hath God said, that marriage is between a man and woman (Gen 2:21-24, Mt 19:4-6, Eph 5:22-33)? That only the marriage bed is pure and any sex outside of it He will judge (Heb 13:4)? That the marriage union is not to be broken, except by death (Rom 7:2), adultery (Mt 19:9) or abandonment by an unbelieving spouse (1Cor 7:15)?

Hath God said, that He establishes nations and their borders (Act 17:26)? That building protective walls is a good work (Neh 2:17-18, Prv 25:28)? That the eternal city of God, the New Jerusalem, is surrounded by walls great and high, of which non-citizens cannot enter (Rev 21)? That immigrants must follow the laws of the land (Ex 12:49, Lev 24:22, Num 15:16)?

Hath God said, that he who will not work should not eat (2Thess 3:10)? That we’re to eat our own bread, not someone else’s (2Thess 3:12)? That to covet and steal the property and possessions of someone else is a sin (Ex 20:15, 17)? That our giving to the truly needy is to be free-will and not compulsory (2Cor 9:7)?

Hath God said, that we are to obey Him above all else – including unlawful government mandates (Act 5:29, 4:19, Dan 3 & 6, Rev 14:9-12)?

These address but a few things considered “political” issues. However, as we have seen, they are first biblical issues; moral issues. As Christians, we are to derive our stance on social/political issues from God’s Word. Some things are clear-cut, while others take a little more study – but God speaks. What He speaks is truth (Jn 17:17). When He has spoken, we are not to say – as Satan and his children do – “Hath God said?” Yes, God has said – and if we’re children of God, what He says is what we live by (Mt 4:4).

In HIS Love,
