The Mystery of Lawlessness…

Yesterday in our Sabbath Assembly, we watched this message from Pastor G. (Gary) Steven Simons, of Triumph in Truth.

“There is a dynamic of deception being unleashed on the masses by Hasatan and his demons, in an effort to create an environment of lawlessness into which the lawless one will arise. In this video, G.Steven Simons shines light on this secret work of darkness and warns believers to love the Truth and not fall victim to the delusion of the lawless.”

–From the Video Description

We would like every pastor, bible teacher, church deacon and elder, we know to watch this message and carefully consider what Pastor Simons is saying here. We believe it is very relevant to the affairs of the present day and time; and, we haven’t heard this passage preached from this perspective before. What do you think?

You can find his Message Notes here at this link.

We have been told so many times that ‘no one knows the day or the hour’…

But, here is what Paul says in his letter to the Thessalonians when speaking about the second coming of our Messiah…

‘Now concerning the times and seasons, brothers and sisters, you have no need for anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know very well that the Day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night. When they are saying, “ Shalom and safety,” sudden destruction comes upon them like a woman having birth pains in the womb—there is no way they will escape. But you, brothers and sisters, are not in the dark, so that the Day might overtake you like a thief. For you all are sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night or of darkness— so then, let us not sleep as the others do, but let us remain on the alert and sober-minded. ‘ [Emphasis ours.]

1 Thessalonians 5:1-6 TLV

When our Savior, Yeshua/Jesus, told us in Matthew 24 that no one knew the day or the hour, not even the angels, but only the Father, was He just emphasizing the point that His Words would not pass away? Or, was He referring to heaven and earth passing away at the end of the thousand year reign of His Kingdom? Or, was He referring to His second coming to set up His Kingdom on earth?

”Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away. But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven nor the Son, except the Father alone. ”

Matthew 24:35 & 36 TLV

Considering world events, this is a very important subject.

Paul is warning us to wake up…not be asleep…be sober-minded.

And Yeshua is telling us that the generation that sees all these things come to pass which He describes in Verses 3-34 shall not pass away until all these things happen!

We hope you will study this out. We believe we are living in the times Yeshua/Jesus and Paul were speaking about in these passages of scripture. Use the comment section below to let us know what you think!

Until next time….
