John Rich was recently on with Tucker Carlson talking about his new song, REVELATION, <\/em>and the Book of Revelation. He mentioned the \u201cgreat falling away\u201d and the \u201cman of lawlessness\u2026\u201d. Mr. Rich was making the point that, in his opinion, the so-called rapture<\/em> was not what most Christians think it is and certainly is not going to occur when they think it is. His concern was that because of their believing a lie that\u2019s been perpetrated for the last hundred years, they could miss the second coming of Jesus! That got me to thinking, as we say here in the Texas Hill Country\u2026 about this man of \u201cLawlessness\u201c\u2026i.e., Torahlessness!\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n I agree with Mr. Rich.\u00a0 We, in the church, have indeed inherited lies from our fathers.\u00a0 But I believe it started long before Scofield. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Jeremiah prophesied about that\u2026\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cO Lord, my strength and my stronghold, my refuge in the day of trouble, to you shall the nations come from the ends of the earth and say: \u201cOur fathers have inherited nothing but lies, worthless things in which there is no profit.\u201d<\/em> \u2014Jeremiah 16:19 ESV<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Apostle, John, tells us in 1 John 3:4 that sin is the transgression of the Law\u2026<\/em>he is referring to the Torah!\u00a0 (The \u201cLaw\u201d is the \u201cTorah,” which means instructions in Hebrew!)\u00a0 The Book of Acts clearly tells us how those first century believers expressed their faith in Yeshua.\u00a0 They followed Yeshua\u2026 and, \u201cas was His [Yeshua\u2019s] custom, He went into the synagogue on Shabbat\u2026.\u201d (Luke 4:16). Yeshua followed the Torah perfectly.\u00a0 NOT so that we wouldn\u2019t have to\u2014but, so that we could see that it was not too hard to do!\u00a0 He assures us that He did not come to abolish it! (Matthew 5:17). It is His instructions (User Manual) for living!\u00a0 He wants us to live life abundantly!<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Apostle Paul talked of a great falling away that occurs before the coming of our Messiah. I truly believe that that \u201cfalling away\u201d began in the 3rd or 4th century when the so-called church fathers changed the Creator\u2019s Sabbath Day to the first day of the week\u2026.and literally outlawed the keeping of the Father\u2019s instructions, the Torah! They called it Judaizing! <\/p>\n\n\n\n My husband, Gene, published a book back in 2009 in which he points out:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe 29th Canon of the Council of Laodicea, which convened in about 365 A.D., stated \u201cChristians must not Judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day rather honoring on the Lord\u2019s Day resting then as Christians.
