Wear a mask! Don’t wear a mask!
Vaccinate? Or, don’t vaccinate? Open your business? Or, uh….not?
To do or not to do? That seems to be the question!
Are you depressed yet?
And, then….the globe—or, at least our part of the globe, here in Texas, gets hit by so much ‘warming’ (tongue planted firmly in cheek!) that it’s covered in tons of ice and snow so that everyone suffers black outs with their electric power….their internet….their phone service…. their water…
It’s enough to make you throw your hands up and shout, “Stop the world and let me off!”
Remember that song? My kids know that I always think of a song to fit most any situation….and, this is no different. This one is a song written by W.S. Stevenson & Carl Belew. I have to admit that I did not know who wrote it and had to do a little research. Songwriters hardly ever get credit for being the writers of a song on YouTube or lyrics websites! Most sites, especially YouTube, credit the artists who are performing it!
Oh, well. At least, we can still sing a song, right?
Many days, though, here lately, I haven’t felt much like a song. How about you?
Then, I check my email and find this waiting in my inbox….
From the pastor down the road…
“Psa 27:12-14 “Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. (13) I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. (14) Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”
“Deliver me not over unto the will of my enemies”. Like David in this circumstance, the saints are surrounded by enemies who seek to impose their will. As God has a will that His children are to submit to; so Satan likewise has a will his children submit to (whether they know it or not). The children of Satan seek to impose their father’s will on the saints.” — Pastor J. D. Link

Encouragement. Grace. A kind word once in a while. That’s what we need more of. Gene and I get our encouragement and instruction for day to day living from the Bible.
This past Saturday we had our Sabbath Assembly here at our home….in the “Upper Room.” We didn’t meet last weekend due to the weather. So, it was good to get together again!
Why do we do what we do? Here are some scripture verses that inspire us…
“If any man serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there also will My servant be. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.”
John 12:26
“And He came to Natzeret, where He had been raised. As was His custom, He went into the synagogue on Shabbat, and He got up to read.”
Luke 4:16
“As was his custom, Paul went to the Jewish people; and for three Sabbaths, he debated the Scriptures with them.”
Acts 17:2
We just want to “follow” Yeshua (Jesus), as He commanded. The Apostle Paul admonished believers to “imitate him” as he imitated Yeshua! The whole Bible is true…it is one book, not two.
Thank you for reading… let us hear from you!
’til next time,
